08 Sep From the Desk of Craig Garland
As summer 2020 wraps up, I wanted to take this time to reflect and thank the Garland team, specifically, our Superintendents, Safety Officers and Subcontractors for what has been a rather unusual season for us. Coronavirus has put extra emphasis on safety and well-being on top of already compressed project schedules that were postponed due to the spring shutdown. Our Project Teams found another gear to navigate through this pandemic and I cannot express how awe-struck I am at their commitment to their craft. I am genuinely grateful to you all.
Furthermore, I am immensely proud to share that since remobilizing in May, our jobsites have been 100% free from COVID-19 positive test results. This trend exemplifies our commitment to safe work practices for not just our jobsite teams but also our building owners and occupants. From my perspective, this superior level of awareness and responsibility is how we define our contribution to reducing the spread and bringing some relief to our healthcare system that has showed superhero perseverance. Our ability to resume construction could not be possible without the selfless acts of healthcare providers, first responders and essential workers throughout the Commonwealth. From everyone at Garland Building Company, we are heartfelt for your continued devotion, grit and resolve to conquering this virus.
